WORLD RENOWNED

Teaching Lineage

Siobhan Fitzgerald, Founder and Director undertakes her role to pass on the wisdom gathered from over 27 years of dedicated practice & study.

This began with the Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga with her teachers Paul Dallaghan and David Keil, which later evolved through immersion into Pranayama & Meditation with Breath Master Sri OP Tiwariji from the Kaivalyadham institute in India and later with his son Sudirji Tiwari. Through annual trips to India, Thailand and France, she learned from this direct lineage, techniques passed down from Swami Kuvalayananda. She is the only one in the UK and of a handful of students in the world certified to deliver the teaching methodology in the direct lineage of the Kaivalayadham Institute being a direct student practicing advanced Pranayama techniques and certified to give “prescriptive Pranayama” and Ayurveda under his direct guidance. This was blended into a 3 year Yoga Therapy course at the Kaivalyadham Institute under lead programme teacher Sudir Tiwari.

To teach from a lineage means the content is pure and undiluted as it is more rare that it is these days. To teach from a lineage means the knowledge has been scientifically evidenced to have clarity in its effects on all levels. It has a method which is a direct result of a century of research.

Sri O.P. Tiwari is one of the world’s leading authorities on Pranayama and the Secretary General of Kaivalyadhama. With over fifty years of experience, Tiwariji has dedicated his life to the teaching and practice of Yoga. He is a direct disciple of Swami Kuvalayanandaji, founder of Kaivalyadhama and the world’s pioneer of scientific research in the field of yoga. Tiwariji was taught in depth by his guru, and had direct exposure to not only the philosophical and practical aspects of Yoga but also to the scientific research that was being propagated by his teacher. This puts him in an incredibly unique position of teaching Pranayama with a classical technique, where a scientific outlook harmonises with traditional wisdom. He is one of the few remaining masters of pranayama and Hatha Yoga in the world today. A humble man, Tiwariji’s goal is to pass on the traditional practices of yoga with integrity and sincerity.

Paul Dallaghan is an extremely well-known world-class yoga teacher and scientist  with 30 plus years of experience in the practice and study of yoga, the breath, and meditative techniques. His absolute dedication to the path of yoga has come from a combination of intense practices, meditative experiences, silent retreats and many Ashram immersions in India, Tibet and Thailand. He was one of the dedicated few, who had years of study under Pattabhi Jois in the old days of Ashtanga series yoga, Paul is certified by Jois to teach this style of asana. His dedication to the practice of Pranayama over 20 years leaves him in the unique position as the senior student to carry forth these teachings from his teacher OP Tiwari and the tradition of Swami Kuvalayananda and Sri Madhavadas. In addition, he was accepted into one of the top PhD programs in the US to conduct scientific research on yoga and its effects. He is still a student and loves to share and learn. Paul brings fun and lightness to the practice and is known for his mantra on surrendering to the practice itself….let it carry you, is the key to enjoying this path of yoga and meditation. He has taught workshops and trainings all over the world, and founded the retreat centre Samahita, in Thailand teaching students from all backgrounds and all levels of physical and mental readiness in Centered Yoga as an open-minded method to encourage inner awareness.

Sudhir Tiwari was born in Allahabad/Prayag, India. His name was chosen by Swami Kuvalayananda.

He received his first training under the guidance of Swami Digambarji, a disciple of Swami Kuvalayananda and his father Shri Om Prakash Tiwari.

Brought up at Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute, Lonavala, India amidst rich traditional yogic heritage of Swami Madhavdasji Maharaj, Swami Kuvalyanandaji and Swami Digambarji, a tradition kept alive by his father and a well known Pranayama master, Shri O. P. Tiwari.

Swami Digambarji, on his own accord, without any announcements and fanfare initiated Sudhir in 1981 by conducting a Yadnopavit ceremony (Thread Ceremony) and accepted him as a disciple. Sudhir received his primary and advanced Yogic and Ayurvedic training from Swami Digambarji which included the study of traditional texts, mantra yoga, fire ceremony, pranayama and various aspects of adhyatm (spiritual) yoga. Sudhir also learnt pranayama and Hathapradipika from his father.

Sudhir’s calling came in early 2012 when his father expressed his desire for him to become an instrument to further the message of Swami Kuvalyananda and Swami Digambarji’s by spreading in theory and practice the fundamentals of undiluted yoga.

Very willingly Sudhir agreed, so now he travels all around the world conducting workshops in theory and practice of Yoga (Asana, Pranayama, Meditation, Chanting) and Ayurveda and with his familiarity of alternative western medicine he also correlates these disciplines. His Mantra, Breathe Positive, Breathe Yoga.

Sudhir’s goal is to present yoga not just as asanas but as an experiential practice encompassing but not limited to Yamas, Niyamas, Asana, Pranayama and meditational techniques, mantra yoga and techniques of ishwar pranidhana of Patanjali.
