Abhyanga Full Body Ayurvedic Massage Training Course
In this traditional and very in-depth look at Ayurveda and its amazing benefits to our health, we learn a full traditional Ayurvedic routine.
Applied with love from the Indian ways of approaching wellbeing. It is a wonderful time out for the mind and invigorates the body and calms at the same time. It has many benefits…. but as its principle effects follow…. It is to rid the body of sluggish toxins and remove blockages in our energetic pathways … restoring equilibrium to body and mind. Specific oils for each Dosha and a basic guided knowledge of the whole Ayurvedic concept. This includes learning about Tridosha and 3 singular Doshas in Ayurveda and how to diagnose each individual in order to use the correct method and oil to re-balance the system and enhance the effects of the treatment itself. It is followed up by 4 case studies to gain certification to practice. No prior massage experience is necessary ….just the right intention. I have studied in India since 2004…I have also completed a 3 year programme working with Ayurvedic doctors and scientists at the Kaivalyadhama research Institute in India, on a Yoga Therapy Degree….and have been with my teacher for the past 20 years. This is something that I am passionate about….. I run only twice per year and it is taught in its undiluted traditional style….it has changed my life and I hope it changes you too.

Lymphatic drainage massage is a specialist type of treatment aimed at taking the accumulation of fluid build up in the tissues through the body faster than the body can manage on its own. this can be caused by many reasons including post operation stress and medication build up and or having been immobile, from our toxic food chain, from post op aesthetic surgery, or from any operation which has involved the removal of lymph nodes. it is a full body routine but can be isolated to the trunk and breast area, the jaw and face area, the abdomen or as a general full body release of fluids in the tissues.
It is also trending with pre night out events , so you look your best. but aesthetics aside we have a whole host of reasons people may seek this treatment out.
Benefits are numerous and include, improved immunity, reduced blood glucose (so excellent for diabetics), reduced pain and swelling, increased calm, reduced anxiety, improved lymphatic duct function and so on. The course is run online for a few hours to get to the bottom of the lymphatic system and how it works, learn the benefits and learn the anatomy, contra-indications and after care.
The ‘In person’ day we will spend the whole day working on the full body routine and include a bonus routine for the face and jawline - which gives and instant reduction in puffiness and any kind facial swelling. A key concern area for many. Book now as this course is currently in high demand.

Pregnancy Massage course
Train in a beautifully rewarding and deeply nurturing treatment suited to women going through 2nd and 3rd Trimester in their pregnancy. The routine is also suitable Post Natal and is the best thing you can do to give relief and support this time of any mother to be’s life.
At this time in a mother to be’s life, the body takes on extra weight bearing in areas like the neck upper back and feet. The pelvis moves to accommodate new life and the abdomen and lower back ligaments soften, while the upper body gets tight. The massage is performed fully supported by cushions and bolsters in a side lying position. Having worked on many courses and as a prenatal yoga teacher I know what works best for therapist and client . Here we focus on these key areas, giving immense relief, while the mum to be finds rest, healing and recovery. improving mood , mobility and sleep. The best thing I was ever given during my own pregnancy - it is a beautiful routine and can be adapted to other people a well. Join me for a rewarding and insightful day of learning.
“The Ayurvedic massage course at Prana for Life was extraordinarily rich. In concentrated and well structured days, I learned a lot about the technique, the underpinnings of Ayurveda and the appropriate oils to use. It was very well delivered and I feel confident to give these beautiful massages to clients, even if I had no previous experience of massage. Siobhan is very knowledgeable and compassionate. Her teaching was exceptional: clear, experiential and rooted in this amazing and beautiful tradition. The group, which was not overly big but very engaged, was great and supportive too and the massages I received were wonderful which is testament to how well people understood the teachings. It was also lots of fun and a surprisingly relaxing course!”

“I thoroughly enjoyed Siobhan’s Indian Head Massage Course. It’s been one of those ones that’s kept on giving and really inspired me to continue learning more about Ayurveda and the benefits of regular massage. I have no formal massage training so was a little unsure if I’d be able to pick everything up over the two-day training. I’m delighted to say that with Siobhan’s demonstrations, practical instruction and expert guidance I have.
When I came to practise and work on my case studies after the course I felt confident about the massage sequence, what I’d learned and how to work with clients. I’m really looking forward to sharing what I’ve studied here with others now, helping them feel better and improve their overall sense of wellbeing. Thank you so much Siobhan for providing such a wonderful experience on this course, I loved every minute.
