Pranayama .....
Pranayama is the fourth limb of Yoga. After we have started Asana we move into pranayama .... as instructed in traditional text. It is the biggest Tapas in the yogic system, of Patanjalis eight limbs. Tapas means to burn away and to purify and that is exactly what we are doing here. We are burning away the toxins and we are purifying the prana. Prana is the life force within us. We are allowing the body space to heal .... to encourage all systems to regulate and to feel alive, well and happy. To be well and have the Yoga work for us we need action .... this is the action .... and it works..... it has lots of sections to it ....different cleanses....to prepare for deeper work....different pranayama for each individual depending on their needs. It is a wonderful tool and a wonderful way to start each day.
Learn with me and I will give you a programme suited to your own individual needs and ability. Pranayama is an invaluable tool for Depression, Anxiety, High blood pressure, Diabetes, Lethargy, Fybromyalgia, Insomnia, Chronic pain conditions....as well as maintaining good health and a positive frame of mind. It keeps us calm when all around us can seem quite the opposite .... over time the changes and positive action on the brain are quite an amazing thing to feel and experience and the nice thing is when you keep up a practice these changes become a new and much better way of life for you.
