Pranayama is the fourth limb of Yoga. After we have started Asana we move into pranayama .... as instructed in traditional text. It is the biggest Tapas in the yogic system, of Patanjali's eight limbs. Tapas means to burn away and to purify and that is exactly what we are doing here. We are burning away the toxins and we are purifying the Prana. Prana is the life force within us. We are allowing the body space to heal .... to encourage all systems to regulate and to feel alive, well and happy. To be well and have the Yoga work for us we need action .... this is the action .... and it works..... it has lots of sections to it ....different cleanses....to prepare for deeper work....different pranayama for each individual depending on their needs. It is a wonderful tool and a wonderful way to start each day.

Pranayama is an invaluable tool for Depression, Anxiety, High blood pressure, Diabetes, Lethargy, Fybromyalgia, Insomnia, Chronic pain conditions....as well as maintaining good health and a positive frame of mind. It keeps us calm when all around us can seem quite the opposite .... over time the changes and positive action on the brain are quite an amazing thing to feel and experience and the nice thing is when you keep up a practice these changes become a new and much better way of life for you.

I have searched out somewhere I can take you and something brighter to look forward to .... a blissful, cleansing, detoxing, de-stressing, soul connecting retreat.

This stunning location has a purpose built yoga room, bespoke bedrooms and the most delicious 5 star vegan food you can ever imagine.
We will be immersing ourselves daily .... morning , afternoon and evening .... in Kriya work, Pranayama, Asana and Meditation. A weekend to bring us back to the complete stillness and rejuvination we need in order for our true self to shine and our soul to shine. I will also run a short workshop on principles of Ayurveda and lifestyle tips. The surroundings support us and the team at Saorsa will be on hand for any individual needs. A massage therapist will also be available for your deeper therapeutic needs.

Summer in Glasgow mini retreat

The Wellbeing Yoga studios
Enjoy this beautiful retreat aimed at complete destress, re-aligning mind and body through breathing techniques , deep relaxation and mindfulness techniques, Therapeutic Yoga and Ayurveda.
The sessions will be for a morning and an afternoon session.... a break for a beautiful Yoga supportive lunch each day (included) .
The retreat will be running for 5 days to maximise the benefits.
It can be ideal to just unwind and have some me time ....to have an insight into next years Teacher Training in Yoga Therapy or to start a new routine for yourself.
The retreat will be taught by Siobhan and in a most beautiful new space that has opened in the heart of the Park Circus area of Glasgow.
There is a rest room, therapy rooms, a kitchen and other amenities present. We will be able to arrive and just enjoy the sessions and the surroundings to escape from the stresses of everyday life.
Sessions included guided breathing practices, advice on Ayurveda, pulse diagnostics and a personal breath-work prescription tailored to your needs.
