About me.....

Teaching for me is a passion.  I have lectured in Eastern massage, Anatomy, Pathology and Lifestyle in further education since 2005. I put my heart into giving the students the best experience possible. However I felt that people might just want to learn one traditional technique well. These skills are much more than just hands on routines ...... real explanations and experience of what is happening and why ..... this I felt could be expressed better by running my own courses. Here I have built a platform where traditional intentions of the roots of Ayurveda are taught so that we have the right approach and the right effects when we move into doing these treatments for ourselves. Translating that very complex Eastern knowledge into Western language that we can use as an effective system. A tool for life. Over 30 years I have been a massage therapist. I have had the luxury to have trained in the roots of each tradition. In Chiang Mai, Thailand in Thai massage, In Pune, India in Ayurvedic massage and with the leading London Institute of Ayurveda in Indian Head Massage and Shirodhara. I enjoy really getting to the bare essential core of WHY we are doing each method ....rather than following like a sheep. Otherwise what good would I be to you.

In regards to Yoga Therapy I have also run Yoga studios and taught Ashtanga Yoga as a led practice and Mysore drop in sessions and Traditional Hatha Yoga since 2004 and specialise in breathing practices in Yogic therapy.  I have been teaching within Yoga teacher trainings in this specialist area the past 5 years.  My own Breath master has been my leading example of why I do what I do ..... I have every faith in feeling what I feel and having changed in so many positive ways in my own life through the breath and through his guidance it is a valuable tool for life  ..... he has been my mentor since 2005 ..... recently due to his age he opened up the knowledge on a 3 year programme for his lifelong students at this amazing research Institute in India .....I completed these studies in India 2015-2019,  with my guru Sri . O . P. Tiwari and his son Sudhir Tiwari  and a team of Scientists , Doctors , Ayurvedic Doctors, Neurologists, Surgeons, and Philosophers all in the field of Yoga Therapy and specialising in Pranayama.  I have been taught to diagnose and treat individuals as prescriptive practice and apply Yogic therapy principles to each unique student .... this will only benefit all who I share my trainings with ..... this is my goal ..... sharing valuable and simple rules according to Yoga , breathing and Ayurveda to make life happier , healthier and more stress free!

I am now also available for private consultations at NAMRATA
Namaste
